LE BLUSH CRÉME DE CHANEL
- my first impressions and mini review -
I was, and still am, excited about the Chanel 2013 Fall - Superstition line. One of the reasons, would be the cream blushes.. FINALLY!
I've got to admit that I'm a blushaholic. The first thing I will gravitate to when a collection release comes out are the blushes. With a blush: it could change an entire look, brighten your face, with the right colour and placement - it can make you look youthful and fresh.. I could go on and on but it is one of my faves to swatch, try on my face and of course, buy!
Below is the reason why I got so, so excited with the Fall 2013 Chanel release.
So far, I've picked up two of the cream blushes with two more to arrive soon. I've ordered Destiny and Révélation. Although, I've swatched Fantastic and I'm on the fence. I have Rendez-Vous Rouge Coco Shine and Ombre Essentielle in Gri-Gri which I will review shortly.
These are the two blushes I am sure I would like (and it's a safe everyday shade I could definitely use). LEFT: Affinité - described as an intense blue pink. RIGHT: Inspiration soft blue pink.
Yes, I know.. it's similar but although Inspiration is light, it does apply a pretty powdery pink. It subtle but it's there and it's a very sweet and innocent-ish blush. It's beautiful. I had to apply and blend it twice to get true to pan.
Affinité
is my favorite. It' a very potent blush, a little goes a long way. It's a great summer blush and since I'm at my darkest NC20-NC25, it gives me a nice, I-just-exercised flush.
Both are highly pigmented, true to pan and somewhat long lasting. Why somewhat? It's Summer and it's hot with my combination skin, it lasted 3-4 hours as I applied it in the morning but after work, it was barely there. Compared to power blush, which only last 2 hours on my skin, it's absolutely great!
It is cream formulation that applies similarly to Bobbi Brown cream blushes but without the sheen. Le Blush Créme de Chanel dries to a powder-like finish. My recommendation for application is to apply to cheek bones ( I don't smile and do the apples --- I'm pretty sure most of you know why.. if not comment and I will reply), blend, build colour, blend.. repeat as desired. When applied correctly, it's blends to you skin or your base well.
I love the blushes so much that I ordered 2 more. I think..? ;)
SWATCHES
